Sequoia relies on your charitable contributions

Sequoia Mental Health Services, Inc. relies, in large part, on the charitable giving of its supporters and – if you’ve been interested enough to seek us out on the web – people like you. A Washington County, Oregon non-profit agency, Sequoia accepts donations of cash and time. Whether you’re able to provide a few dollars or an hour or two, or substantially more, your donation will be put to effective use to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve.

All contributions to SMHS are tax deductible as allowed by law and are used to support activities excluded from regular funding such as social events or emergency housing. When you provide a cash donation to SMHS you can also be confident that your funds are being put to the most effective use.

100% of every dollar donated to SMHS goes to programs and services directly benefitting the people we serve.

If you’re not in a position to donate cash, SMHS also welcomes and appreciates those who give of their time. Giving of your time does go a long way to enabling SMHS to provide assistance to those in need. SMHS utilizes volunteers for such activities as office support and filing.

Opportunties to help

Sequoia MHS offers several opportunities to invest in our work. Individuals, private companies, and foundations are welcome to contribute to any of these needs:

  • Donations are always useful for Sequoia’s general clinical operations, which can help purchase medications, special staff positions, temporary housing, and other direct benefits to our program participants.
  • Sequoia currently has a capital campaign in place to rebuild the clinic destroyed by fire two years ago. The new complex will provide a clinical and administrative office large enough to expand in coming decades, along with fifteen units of supportive, affordable housing for low income persons with disabilities.
  • The healthcare environment requires that every service be documented for billing and quality monitoring, so contributions to our Information Technology upgrade will support the purchase of essential software and related expenses.
  • Small cash gifts and in-kind donations of goods such as paint, vehicles, and supplies can be targeted for any of our special programs, or to the agency as a whole.

Sequoia MHS is a tax-exempt nonprofit charitable organization, so all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Thank you for your support.
