SMHS Staff

SMHS staff are carefully chosen for their professional experience and expertise and their ability to relate to people in an open and supportive manner. Case managers typically have a Master’s Degree in Psychology, or Social Work. SMHS staff is supervised by Licensed Professional Counselors or Licensed Clinical Social Workers. Medications are prescribed and monitored by licensed Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.

Sequoia Mental Health Services, Inc. (SMHS), based in Beaverton, Oregon, provides assistance to people with long-term psychiatric, emotional and developmental impairments. Support and programs are aimed at maximizing self-sufficiency and productivity and offered with compassion, integrity and a profound respect for each individual’s strengths. At SMHS our goal is to surround the people we serve with a community that will engage, support and encourage them.

SMHS is supported by a community of dedicated volunteers who give of their time. Giving of your time does go a long way to enabling SMHS to provide assistance to those in need.
